Finally! Underperforming SEND service provision to get additional resources...six months after first protest by parents...
Commenting on the latest news from Cheshire West and Chester Council around Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) provision in the borough, Cllr Adrian Waddelove, Shadow Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said:
"We welcome this additional resource. It is good to see the Labour run Council have at last listened to the CWaC SEND Accountability Group and local Conservative calls for action given CWaC’s well-publicised inability to meet basic legal timeframes.
However, this announcement should have happened long ago after months of dithering. We will continue to monitor developments and proposed next steps if improvements are not seen. This will include ensuring that the LGA peer review happens within the agreed 18 month timescale."
