Locally all Conservative Councillors and candidates do their best to help our communities, by working with residents, community groups and with Town & Parish Councils, where they are in place.
Should the Conservatives take control of the Council in May our borough wide policies include:
Ending Labour’s ‘tax to the max’ council tax strategy – Your Conservative Cllrs voted against each increase for the past 8 years. In the past 4 years the Green Cllr has supported every increase, the Independent Councilors have voted twice with Labour and twice abstained, the LibDems have also twice voted for the increase in 4 years.
Investing an extra £1.5million per year in our highways – The Conservative Group proposed an extra £2million in this year but it was voted down by Labour.
Introducing “Free After 3pm” parking across the borough, including for Northwich to help boost the high street. Labour ended "free after three" in Chester & Ellesmere Port and free car parking in Northwich.
Scrapping Labour’s ‘green bin tax’. Our Councillors opposed the “Green Bin Tax” from the start, Labour tried to force it through without a proper meeting but Charles ensured a full Council meeting in person was held. The Conservatives voted against it, with support from others but Labour and Green Cllrs forced it through.
